Boron - an underestimated trace element
Boron is a trace element that often receives too little attention and is therefore unknown to many people.
Boron is vital for plants, without the element they cannot grow and thrive properly. Good sources of boron are therefore plant-based foods such as vegetables, (dried) fruit, nuts, cereal products and pulses. The trace element can also be found in drinking water and mineral water. Animal foods, on the other hand, contain very low levels of boron. You therefore consume higher amounts of boron if you eat a vegan or vegetarian diet.
Boron tablets
Our nutri+ boron tablets provide the body with the trace element boron and are optimally dosed at 3 mg boron per day. They contain sodium borate (also known as borax), a natural boron compound that can be absorbed particularly well by the body. One tin contains 365 tablets, which are sufficient for a whole year's supply if taken daily.

Note: The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) advises that adults should not consume more than 10 mg boron per day (Upper Intake Level) from all sources. Regular intake above this amount can increase the risk of side effects. But don't worry: if you eat a purely plant-based diet, you cannot achieve this amount through food alone. It is estimated that 1-3 mg of boron is consumed daily through food.
