What does the best-before date mean?
The best-before date (BBD) indicates the date until which food can be consumed without any loss of taste or quality if stored correctly. It is therefore not a use-by date. This means that unopened food that has been stored properly can generally still be consumed without hesitation even after the best-before date has expired.
Important: Use your senses. Anything that no longer smells or tastes good or has changed color or shape should no longer be eaten.
